For your luxury vintage selection, we present a great classic from the 1980s and 1990s, a piece of Parisian leather goods history recognizable at first glance: the 'Must de Cartier' Shoulder Bag in Burgundy Hammered Leather. The Must de Cartier line defined an era of accessible luxury and remains a cornerstone of vintage collecting today. This shoulder bag (with a design reminiscent of a roomy camera bag) is crafted in the most iconic combination: the thick hammered calf leather dyed in Cartier's famous and unmistakable burgundy color. The front is enriched with two practical open slip pockets, separated by an elegant leather strap knotted. To seal the piece’s charm, you’ll find the classic metallic oval with the iconic interwoven double C logo. The top zip opening reveals a generous interior, fully lined in sturdy burgundy jacquard fabric with the Cartier monogram repeated all over. Internally, there is a main compartment and a handy side pocket closed with a zip. To certify the vintage piece’s authenticity, a gold metal plaque bears the inscription "Must de Cartier Paris." The bag comes in good condition with some signs of age and wear. While the main body of the bag, the front, and the interior still hold up well (with well-hydrated leather and a clean lining), the critical areas are the strap attachments. The leather on the side attachment points is heavily cracked, worn, and shows seams coming undone and pigment loss along the edges.
