Pair of Murano 'Graniglia' wall lamps - Italy - 1970-1979 A beautiful pair of Mid-Century Modern wall lamps (scans), manufactured on the famous glass island Murano, Italy, in the 1970s. The lamp shades are handcrafted entirely from hand-blown clear glass, using the traditional and refined 'Graniglia' technique. This involves countless small glass fragments and grains fused into the glass surface. This gives the lamps a rich, ice-like texture. In combination with the elegant, clock-shaped form and the dynamic, twisted ribs (ribs), this creates a stunning, warm diffusion of light.
