Highly collectible original 1983 Japanese first pressing of Mötley Crüe's breakthrough second album Shout At The Devil, issued on Elektra / Warner-Pioneer under catalogue number P-11428. This Japanese edition is especially attractive because it was issued in the elaborate glossy gatefold sleeve, a far more impressive presentation than many international versions of the album. Complete Japanese examples have become particularly desirable, as the original loose components—OBI strip, inner sleeve, and liner-notes insert—are very frequently separated from copies found today. This copy is fully intact with all original Japanese components, a rarity in the collector market. Released in 1983, Shout At The Devil established Mötley Crüe as one of the defining bands of the emerging Los Angeles metal scene. The classic line-up of Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee delivers some of the band's most enduring material, including "Shout At The Devil," "Looks That Kill," "Bastard," "Red Hot," "Too Young To Fall In Love," "Ten Seconds To Love," and their cover of The Beatles' "Helter Skelter." The album was recorded and mixed at Cherokee Studios in Hollywood, produced by Tom Werman, with mastering credited to George Marino. ⸻ Sleeve (EX): The glossy gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition, clean and well preserved with only minimal handling wear.
