全部拍賣 / Wine & Spirits / Mortlach Special Releases 2023 - Natural Cask Strength - 70cl
Up for auction: An outstanding bottle of Mortlach "The Katana's Edge" from the prestigious Diageo Special Releases 2023 collection: Spirited Xchange. Known as "The Beast of Dufftown" for its thick, muscular distillate created through a unique 2.81 distillation process, this limited edition takes Mortlach into unexplored territory. Finished in a combination of ex-Kanosuke Japanese whisky casks and ex-Pinot Noir casks. This innovative dual-cask finish balances Mortlach's signature savory, meaty umami depth with sweet, crisp fruitiness and subtle oak spices inspired by the precision of a samurai blade. Bottled at natural cask strength of 58.0% ABV without chill filtration, delivering an intense, mouth-coating experience marked by ripe melon, sweet red berries, crisp apple, savory umami notes, and a lingering, spicy dry finish. --- INCLUDED IN THIS LOT: * 1x Mortlach "The Katana's Edge" Diageo Special Release 2023 bottle (700 ml | 58.0% ABV) * Original luxury presentation box featuring samurai-inspired artwork --- LOT SPECIFICATIONS & CONDITION: * Brand / Distillery: Mortlach ("The Beast of Dufftown") * Region: Speyside, Scotland * Category: Single Malt Scotch Whisky * Series: Diageo Special Releases 2023 (Spirited Xchange) * Bottling Name: The Katana's Edge * Cask Type: Finished in ex-Kanosuke Japanese Whisky and ex-Pinot Noir casks * Volume: 700 ml (70 cl) * Strength: 58.0% ABV (Natural Cask Strength) * Condition: Pristine collector condition.
