The lot includes four different subjects, belonging to Morbelli Arte’s historical production: * Gioiello Persiano, 500–400 B.C. – 1979, specimen no. 4418 * Gioiello Tairona, Pre-Columbian Colombia – 1980, specimen no. 5835 * Gioiello Afgano, Hindu Kush – 1984, specimen no. 5972 * Magna Grecia, IV century B.C., Gioielli Italici – 1987, specimen no. 4263 The plates are porcelain incised by engraving, with decorations executed using pure 24 kt gold, enamels and platinum, according to the technique specified by the manufactory. All four specimens bear on the back the Arte Morbelli Italy mark, the indication of the technique, the title and the year of production, in addition to individual numbering. Each plate is also accompanied by its own original Morbelli certificate of authenticity, notably of interest to the collector. Diameter: about 20 cm each. The plates are in excellent condition, without chips, cracks or restorations. They are ornamental objects for collection and not intended for alimentary use. A particularly interesting group due to the presence of four different subjects and for the chronological sequence that includes two very early specimens, from 1979 and 1980, in addition to the subsequent 1984 and 1987.
