A0000005178 The fountain pen is in excellent overall condition, presenting an immaculate aesthetic appeal and complete structural functionality. It is a superb and coveted example from German manufacturer Montblanc, belonging to the exclusive Meisterstück collection in its Diamond Classique variant, finished in the iconic high-density black precious resin combined with high-brightness platinum-plated ornamental details. The cap and the precious resin body retain a deep mirror-like lustre, free of cracks, fissures, or severe impact marks, showing only the slightest superficial micro-scratches derived from extremely careful handling. The piece is absolutely distinguished by the crown of the cap, where the traditional white star of the brand has been replaced by a transparent resin dome that houses a natural floating diamond of approximately 0.03 carats inside. The gem is artisanally cut with the geometric silhouette of Montblanc’s emblem, capturing and refracting light in three dimensions with exceptional brilliance on any movement. Technically, the clip ring—with a polished and clean platinum coating—clearly and cleanly shows the individual laser-engraved serial number "EU2261801", as well as the origin inscription "GERMANY", elements that unequivocally certify the authenticity of the piece. The three central platinum rings of the cap maintain their clean reliefs and the engraving "MONTBLANC - MEISTERSTÜCK" perfectly defined. Upon removing the cap through its smooth screw mechanism, the grip section and the heart of the piece are revealed: a superb artisanal solid 14-carat bi-metallic gold nib (14K / Au 585) with delicate rhodium-plated details. The nib is in magnificent structural condition, with the tines perfectly aligned and undistorted. It bears the brand’s classic engravings clean of old ink residue, highlighting the number "4810" corresponding to the height of the mythical European summit. The stroke is of medium point (M), ideal for its fluidity and balance in writing, an aspect corroborated by the presence of the original factory sticker with the letter "M" still attached to the resin body. Overall, this is a high-end, discontinued writing instrument with great collectible value, blending the sobriety of Meisterstück design with the exclusivity of fine gemology, preserving its distinguished character and presenting itself as a superb investment. Care recommendations: To ensure optimal long-term maintenance of the piece, it is recommended to clean the precious resin body and the platinum-plated elements with a dry microfiber cloth after use to remove natural skin oils. It is advisable to use water-based inks from the brand itself and perform periodic cleaning of the feed with distilled water if changing ink color or if the pen will be inactive for an extended period. It is also suggested to protect the transparent cap dome from direct impacts against hard surfaces to preserve the integrity of the floating diamond.
