Model plane - Bristol Blenheim - On ashtray foot

Beautiful miniature model airplane, on a handsome stand. This is an iconic British bomber from World War II, a Bristol Blenheim. In heavy chromed metal construction, with decals. Rotatable, on an ashtray base. Marked, manufactured in London. In very good condition. The length of the aircraft alone is 9.2 cm. The scale is therefore approximately 1/130. Total weight is approximately 0.5 kilograms. The Bristol Blenheim was a British two-engine light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft that was heavily used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) during the early years of World War II. What was notable about the aircraft was that it was faster than most fighter aircraft of the time when it was designed in the 1930s. By the time the war broke out, however, the type had largely been rendered obsolete by rapid technological developments.
