Composition of the lot: • 35 original vintage silver gelatin prints, approximately 9x12 / 8x13 cm, period prints • 1 phototype postcard published in period No.3920 "Tripoli Italiana - Sbarco delle truppe (11 October 1911)" Documented subjects: Fortifications in sandbag emplacements with wooden observation turrets, Fortino Ben Meliana with searchlight, trenches, mine trench construction site, School of Agriculture, landing and camps, camel squadron / meharists, resting camel drivers, caravans of dromedaries under palm trees, oases and wells, field artillery in position, guarding posts at the port, portraits of Libyan Ascari and groups of Arabs.
