Microscope - de poche

Old pocket loupe or double-lens microscope, presented in its original cylindrical case. A precision optical instrument composed of several glass lenses mounted in a metal body. Historically used for close-up examination of small objects, materials, minerals, mechanical parts or precision work. A beautiful old scientific piece featuring a natural patina, traces of use and oxidation in keeping with its age. I would date it cautiously to the early to mid-20th century, around 1900–1920. Highly sought after in the world of industrial design, scientific curiosities, ancient medical technology, laboratory optics, steampunk, and rare measuring instruments. Ideal for a collector, industrial loft decoration, cabinet of curiosities, scientific display case (theodolite, microscope, sextant, compass)
