Mesosiderite meteorite

In this lot we auction a beautiful meteorite piece of the mesosiderite type, recently classified under the name Mdeïné 001. Although it is a meteorite from the northwest of Africa, it has its own name because the exact coordinates where it was found are known, in addition to being the first to be classified from that place, hence the name "001", something rare and prized by collectors. Mesosiderites are metal–rock meteorites just like pallasites, but unlike them their origin is different: they are the result of a collision between two bodies of different nature in space (one rocky and one metallic). The piece we are auctioning has an ideal size and quality for a good collection, as well as a very beautiful natural shape and sculptural form, in which we can appreciate two orthopyroxene crystals on the surface, something rare to see and that increases its value for collectors. We are members of the leading international associations related to meteorites, so we guarantee for life the authenticity of all our meteorites and jewelry made from this material.
