This particular example is a 1967 250SE sedan with a fascinating history: the car was originally newly delivered in Germany and was later exported to the dry climate of California. Thanks to these favorable conditions, the bodywork has remained exceptionally well preserved and the underbody is in very hard, bone-dry condition. The odometer shows 27,995 km. The original German license plates are still present with the car. BODY/PAINT: The body is in a very hard, rust-free condition. The vehicle is finished in a classic crema color and has on occasion been professionally repainted in the original color, with the paint showing a nice gloss. The chrome trim around is also in beautiful condition. The car is equipped with euro headlights, stylish whitewall tires, and features a factory-installed, fully functioning electric sunroof. INTERIOR: The interior is authentic and neatly preserved, featuring the iconic ivory-colored steering wheel and an original Becker radio. Given the age, the upholstery is somewhat delicate and there are light water stains visible on the door panels. In the trunk lies the complete tool kit, which still looks brand new, together with the spare wheel. ENGINE AND TECHNICS: The car is powered by the 2.5-liter inline six-cylinder fuel-injected engine paired with an automatic transmission. After a period of static storage, it starts, shifts, and drives well. To make the car technically ready, several parts have recently been renewed, including a new fuel tank, new whitewall tires, new shock absorbers, and new spark plugs. Due to the storage, the vehicle may still require light fine-tuning or technical maintenance. DOCUMENTS: The vehicle is delivered with a US title and European import documents (all EU import duties and taxes have been paid). The original instruction books and original German license plates are also included. As this is a classic vehicle registered before 1996, a COC document is not required for registration within Europe. The vehicle can be viewed and possibly collected in Damwoude, Netherlands.
