MEDSAN - Darth Vader in the Snow (雪のダース・ベイダー) - UNIQUE WORK

THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1 In this vertical format, Medsan places Darth Vader, the Sith lord from Star Wars, on a snowy mountain trail in Japan. We see him from behind, motionless, his black helmet slightly turned toward the valley, his long dark cape falling to the ground and speckled with snowflakes. Behind him, a few footprints trace back up the path. Snow falls heavily over the whole landscape, under a bluish-gray sky. At his feet opens a valley where a pale river winds, bordered by a small village and pine forests. In the distance rises a white, pointed summit, half-drowned in the clouds. On a rocky spur, a multi-roof pagoda and its buildings cling to the cliff, connected by a wooden bridge. Very close to the character, a stone lantern topped with snow, and above it, a large pine with branches heavy with white. At the bottom right, the cartouche メドサン. The palette is composed of a few tones: slate gray, creamy white, the brown of the rocks, and the deep black of the silhouette. A silent pause, as if the most dreaded of warriors came to seek a little calm. A sober and striking piece, ideal for adding a touch of wintry mystery to a contemporary interior of a collector who loves Star Wars and Japan.
