MEDIEVAL STEEL STILETTO WITH BONE GRIP AND ANTHROPOMORPHIC POMMEL

Ca. AD 1400. A steel stiletto with a long narrow double-edged blade of diamond section tapering to an acute point. A thin straight crossguard separates the blade from the cylindrical bone grip. The cast bronze pommel is modelled with a stylised frontal human face framed by angular projecting sides.
