Marshal Foch – Eulogy of Napoleon – Preface by General Weygand – 1947 – Beautiful binding signed Janssens Paris, Les Îles d’Or Editions, 1947. Edition of the Eulogy of Napoleon by Marshal Ferdinand Foch, accompanied by a preface by General Maxime Weygand, member of the Académie française. In this text, Marshal Foch analyzes Napoleon’s military genius, his mastery of strategy, his sense of organization, and his ability to concentrate his forces on the decisive objective. The work notably mentions the Italian campaigns, Austerlitz, and the principles that made Napoleon one of the greatest military leaders in history. The copy is particularly distinguished by its very beautiful art binding signed Janssens, accompanied by its matching case.
