XIX th Century - France: G. MAGAIN French watchmacker 1881 - "Allegory Royale of Louis XV, Very huge portico clock 4 columns in gilt bronze and veined white marble". Silver Medal 1881" - supplied with its rare large gilt-bronze "flower basket" pendulum, in the pure style of the French King Louis XV. *** Delivery includes invoice and certificate of authenticity. - This clock is approximately 150 years old; it is in working order and strikes the hours and half-hours. It comes with its key, bell, and rare, large gilt-bronze "flower basket" pendulum. - At the top, a cup and bronze ornementation, below the movement, a large frieze of foliage and mistletoe berries, encircled in the center by an antique-style tasseled bow. - This clock, with its base, is raised on four adjustable, circular, beaded feet in gilt bronze. - Clock maker: G. MAGAIN - Silver Medal 1881. - Eight-day key-wound movement with striking on the hour and half-hour, in working order and striking function, with key and balance wheel. Polychrome domed dial with floral motifs and hour markers (note: an old enamel repair at the center of the dial), bronze door with domed glass, pair of finely chased and openworked bronze hands. - Height: 47 centimeters / 19" - Width: 26 centimeters / 11" - Depth: 12 centimeters / 5" - Weight: 5.500 kilograms / 195 oz, unpacked. - Delivery includes invoice and certificate of authenticity. - Secure and protected shipping via Colissimo registered mail with insurance, tracking number, and signature required upon delivery.
