The Tricolor is the symbol of Italy in the world and embodies national pride: Red symbolizes blood, the suffering of all who pursued the dream of liberty and fought for the unification of Italy; White represents the Catholic faith of Italians and symbolizes the Alps with their great glaciers; Green stands for the hope of a free and united Italy, the desire of many Italians who lost their lives pursuing this deep value, and it is also the green of the Mediterranean scrub, the typical landscape of our country.
