The Macallan 10 Years Old Matured in Sherry Wood – 1980s – Giovinetti & Figli – 75cl 40% The Macallan 10 Years Old Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, Matured in Sherry Wood. A highly collectible old bottling of The Macallan, imported into Italy by Giovinetti & Figli, Milano. Bottle details: - Distillery: The Macallan Distillers Ltd. - Brand: The Macallan - Expression: 10 Years Old - Style: Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky - Maturation: Matured in Sherry Wood - Region: Speyside, Scotland - Alcohol: 40% vol. - Bottle size: 75cl - Italian importer: Giovinetti & Figli, Milano - Bottled in Scotland - Bottling period: believed to be the 1980s The bottle features the distinctive historic Macallan design, including the "Matured in Sherry Wood" shoulder label and the traditional cream-coloured front and rear labels. The 75cl format, historic "Single Highland Malt" wording, Italian UTIF references and Giovinetti & Figli importation are characteristic of this earlier generation of Macallan bottlings. Condition: The bottle is in good overall condition for its age, with a very good/high fill level. The labels show visible age-related staining, discolouration and general wear. The original Italian tax strip is present but shows some wear and tearing. The capsule and closure are also aged, as expected for a bottle of this period. No visible leakage is apparent. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description and show the exact bottle offered. A classic old-style Macallan 10 Years Old, particularly interesting for collectors of historic Macallan bottlings and Italian-market releases.
