Item number: 244 Literature: Luigi Gasparini (Zenson di Piave 1856 - Venice 1926) was a pupil of Pompeo Marino Molmenti in Venice and mainly painted genre scenes. His painting The Golden Wedding was awarded in Brussels. The work is documented in the IRE archive in Venice by a historical glass plate photograph by Tomaso Filippi, inventory number TFN6106. The composition was published in 1893 by Gebbie & Co. as a photogravure under the title The Golden Wedding.
