Luca Cartoonist, registered name Luca Angelini, born 1986, is an emerging artist in the world of pop art. A lifelong fan of comics (Disney being a top favorite), he graduated in advertising graphics at the Art Institute of Ascoli Piceno and then completed his artistic studies with a degree in comics and illustration from the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts. Drawing and painting will continue to be part of his life despite a different professional path (though still artistic), up to 2020, when, during the pandemic, he decides to fully enter the world of pop art. He mainly represents characters from the cartoon/comics world, adapting and placing them within current situations, often using pop icons from yesterday and today. He primarily uses acrylic paints, spray cans, and mixed media techniques of printing and collage on canvas. Since 2021, collaborations with several Italian art galleries have flourished; his works have participated in events such as ArtParmafair, BAF, and some group exhibitions (MilanoFashion & Art, Espressioni d'artista...). It is possible to follow his work by visiting the Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook pages "luca.cartoonist".
