Leonidas / Heuer - Trackmaster - NOS Stopwatch – Vintage...

Description Offered for auction is a rare vintage Leonidas Trackmaster mechanical stopwatch, made in Switzerland, dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1950s–1970s). Leonidas later merged with Heuer in 1964 to form Heuer-Leonidas, the historic predecessor of today’s TAG Heuer. For this reason, Leonidas timepieces are closely associated with the Heuer brand and are highly appreciated by collectors of Swiss chronographs and sports timing instruments. The Trackmaster model was widely used in athletics and professional timing and represents an iconic design of Swiss stopwatch production. Features • Brand: Leonidas / Heuer-Leonidas • Model: Trackmaster • Type: Mechanical stopwatch • Origin: Switzerland • Period: Mid-20th century (approx. 1950s–1970s) • Dial: Original white dial with red and black scales • Case: White casing with textured back • Controls: Start/stop and reset pushers • Accessories: Original presentation box Condition The stopwatch is in very good vintage condition, with minor signs of age and use consistent with its history. The dial is clean and well preserved. The case shows light wear. The original box is included and shows some wear. The movement has not been tested for long-term accuracy. The stopwatch starts, stops and resets (adjust according to actual condition). Please refer to the photos, which form an integral part of the description. A rare collector’s piece This Leonidas Trackmaster is a beautiful example of Swiss sports timing instruments and a great addition to any vintage watch or stopwatch collection. Carefully packed and shipped with tracking.
