Léon Bloy - La Femme Pauvre - 1ª edizione - legatura pregiata - 1897

Rare and sought-after first edition of Léon Bloy's celebrated novel, regarded as one of the monuments of Catholic, visionary, and mystical literature of the late 19th century. The work combines a sharp and ruthless social critique of the materialism of the Parisian bourgeoisie with a deep, painful, and redemptive conception of poverty. A fundamental work of French decadence and literary mysticism.
