Subject and Theme: "BUBBLE GUM ICONS" is an irreverent and vibrant diptych that pits two absolute cinema legends, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, against each other in a daily, almost adolescent gesture: inflating a chewing gum bubble. Their black-and-white faces emerge from walls exploded with graffiti, tags, drips, and bright colors, like old posters covered by the city. At the center of each portrait, the bubble lights up with neon: bright pink for Marilyn, blue for Audrey. Technique and Creation: Both works combine artistic print on a rigid support with hand-applied LED neon, tracing the perfect outline of the bubble. The contrast between the elegance of the black-and-white portraits and the saturation of the graffiti creates a strong visual tension, while the pink and blue lights reflect on the faces and the wall, enveloping the space in a pop, nocturnal atmosphere.
