A man in a suit sits on a chair, his hands tied behind his back. Leaning over his shoulder, a brunette in a black negligee and silk stockings whispers something in his ear. The suitcase is open, the telephone is placed, the door is ajar. This is the very grammar of film noir, of Dashiell Hammett novels and La Dame de Shanghai: the femme fatale who always has a move ahead, and the man who thought he was in charge of the investigation. Is this an interrogation, a trap, or a game? Le Yack leaves the question hanging. Shutters, neon, amber lamp: a perfect chiaroscuro, all the tension of a movie poster in a single image. Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d’Art et de Design (ESAD) in Orléans. He is an artistic director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45.
