laura Muolo - LADY IN PINK

Oil portrait on panel. This portrait draws inspiration from women of the early 1900s. For this reason I wanted to create a cracked background (gluing paper to a Masonite panel) and painting over it, obtaining a particularly distinctive antique effect NOTIZIE SULL'ARTISTA Laura Muolo, born in 1975, a Milanese by birth and a Rimini resident by adoption. She has approached art as a self-taught artist since 2013. Her starting medium is graphite, with which she immediately pursues the realism of faces, while later turning to other media such as pastel and painting. She participates in numerous group exhibitions across Italy and internationally and her works are also exhibited in important Italian museums. Her works are part of several private collections worldwide. Four solo exhibitions so far. She collaborated on the creation of a cover for a poetry book in 2015 and for the cover of a philosophy book in 2023. Winner and finalist in several artistic competitions, at national and international levels. Laura describes her work this way: “I prefer oil painting for its reflective nature: it allows me to build the image step by step, changing, smoothing, perfecting. Sometimes I use pastel on cardboard to immediately capture the subject's essence, in a direct and instinctive way. My style is realistic, but my painting tells inner worlds, hidden emotions and stories to decipher. My works move between dreamlike landscapes and figures immersed in their thoughts, accompanied by shadows that reveal what is not seen: desires, fears, memories. Each scene originates from photographs of young subjects and takes shape through symbols, objects and animals that give voice to a memory or a deep feeling. For me, painting is a journey into the dimension of the unsaid” Laura collaborates with the Ranarossa Gallery in Modena and LoyeloArtGallery in Volterra ig: laura_muolo web site: lauramuolo.com INFORMAZIONI GENERALI: The artwork is varnished and shipped with a certificate of authenticity and securely and professionally packaged.
