laura Muolo - Curious soul

This is the concept: Long shadows danced in the flickering candlelight. Under the white sheet, a solitary soul wandered the dusty corridors of an old abandoned house. It wasn’t a scary ghost, but a curious soul observing the world through two black holes. On nights of a full moon, like this one, it went out to explore. The carved pumpkins laughed softly, while bats hovered against the moon, like shadows of a bygone time. The ghost did not feel alone; the candelabrum it clutched was its only friend, a companion of light in the deep darkness of the night. Oil painting on primed cardboard and framed in a black wooden frame. Artwork 20x20 cm and framed 22x22 ARTIST NEWS Laura Muolo, born in 1975, a Milanese by birth and a Rimini resident by choice. Her works are part of several private collections around the world. Four solo exhibitions to date. She collaborated on the cover of a poetry book in 2015 and on the cover of a philosophy book in 2023. Winner and finalist in several art competitions, nationally and internationally. Laura describes her work this way: “I prefer oil painting for its reflective nature: it allows me to build the image step by step, changing, smoothing, perfecting. Sometimes I use pastel on cardboard to capture the subject’s essence immediately, in a direct and instinctive way. My style is realistic, but my painting tells inner worlds, hidden emotions, and stories to decipher. My works move between dreamlike landscapes and figures immersed in their thoughts, accompanied by shadows that reveal what is not seen: desires, fears, memories. Each scene arises from photographs of young subjects and takes shape through symbols, objects, and animals that give voice to a memory or a deep feeling. For me, painting is a journey into the realm of the unspoken.” Laura collaborates with the Ranarossa Galleries in Modena and LoyeloArtGallery in Volterra ig: laura_muolo website: lauramuolo.com GENERAL INFORMATION: The work is varnished and ships with an authenticity certificate and securely and professionally packed.
