Kitchen knife - Antique Victorian Carving Set

A magnificent 5-piece antique carving set featuring stag-horn handles and silver-plated mounts. It was crafted in Sheffield, England, likely during the Victorian era. The set is presented in its original velvet-lined case, bearing the mark of the retailer Mappin & Webb. The handles are crafted from polished natural stag horn, displaying a rich, marbled pattern ranging from caramel to ivory tones with a warm, natural luster—the height of luxury for the period. The silver bolsters are intricately chased, adding a touch of refined elegance at the transition from blade to handle. This is a classic Victorian carving set in the "Grand Tour" or "Colonial Export" style, designed for formal dinners and special occasions.
