The work is embedded in a mix of acrylic materials after being hand-shaped by Karl Lagasse. Each piece is unique in its form, manually shaped and formed by the artist. Karl Lagasse. This unique work blends modernity and prestige. Details: Signed Artwork. Edition: Each piece is unique due to its hand-shaped form by the artist (1/1). Authenticity: Delivered with an official certificate of authenticity from the artist. A pure marvel for collectors, art enthusiasts, or simply as an investment. Delivery information: You will receive our shipments, both domestic and international, exclusively via DHL Express, our logistics partner. The works are shipped from the artist based in the United States to our logistics platform in France, which handles import and customs clearance, before being individually returned to our collectors without any constraints. The transportation cost includes all fees from the United States to your home. IMPORTANT: NEVER accept a damaged package without opening and inspecting it. If the artwork is damaged, you must refuse delivery and state the reason for the refusal on the delivery note, noting issues such as “broken,” “scratched,” “damaged,” or “bent.” If only the packaging is damaged but the content is intact, you may accept the package. However, if both the packaging and the contents are damaged, you must refuse the package without hesitation. Karl Lagasse, a renowned artist, gained prominence in 2009 with his One Dollar sculptures, ranking that year among the ten best sculptors under 30 according to Artprice. In 2012, the New York publication Farameh named him as one of the fifty best contemporary artists inspired by traditional American icons, in its book FOR WHICH IT STANDS: Americana in Contemporary Art. More recently, in 2016, at the Art Paris Art Fair, the President of the French Republic warmly congratulated Karl for his impressive 2-meter bronze sculpture One Dollar, exhibited at the Grand Palais. Karl’s artistic journey began at age 7 with collages, prompted by his encounter with sculptor César Baldaccini. He then turned to tagging and graffiti in the Paris metro while remaining passionate about collages. Artist Yvaral Vasarely encouraged him to fuse his tags with his collages. In 2003, Karl prepared his first exhibition in Paris, which led to his first solo show in 2006 at the Isy Brachot gallery in Brussels. In 2008, he returned to Paris with an exhibition combining paintings, sculptures, and video elements at the Espace Pierre Cardin. Karl particularly enjoys unveiling his works at international exhibitions. In 2011, he was represented by Bel Air Fine Art Gallery at the Art Monaco fair with his Cryptogram One. The following year, he presented his One Dollar works themed around “In God We Trust” at the Artco France gallery. His 2016 solo exhibition at the Atrium Gallery in Marbella, Spain, was inaugurated by the mayor, who praised his work to the international press. For the occasion, a bronze cryptogram of 1.80 m and a 2-meter One Dollar were exhibited during the event. - 50th anniversary of the Deauville American Film Festival; the artist created 18 bronze trophies and a 2-meter sculpture to be installed at the CID. The artists interviewed about the artist and who received the trophy include: Michael Douglas, Daisy Ridley, Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams, Mikey Madison... 2023: - Aspen Saint Regis: Installation of the 2-meter One Dollar in front of the St Regis. Special performance by his wife, opera singer Cherise Lagasse, who performed pieces from her repertoire. 2015: - Second collaboration with Maserati with the creation of a monumental installation titled “A Piece of Heaven on Earth.” This work features a Maserati covered in white film and a sculpture of Jesus Christ. Around the car, several dollar-bill sculptures are placed on the ground, symbolizing the repayment of humanity’s greatest debt. - Art Paris - Galerie Michel Vidal 2014: - Maserati presents worldwide the Maserati Ghibli redesigned by the artist Karl Lagasse on the occasion of the brand’s 100th anniversary. - Solo exhibition at the Italian Embassy in Paris.
