Karel Rodríguez Fernández - Ascension

Title: Ascension Concept: In Ascension, spiritual elevation is not presented as an escape from the earthly plane, but rather as a metamorphosis that occurs through matter itself. The human body ceases to be a rigid container and becomes a living network of light and shadow, rooted in nature and interwoven with the invisible forces of the cosmos. The dark lines that fragment the figure act as energy channels: they do not imprison, but structure the flow of golden light that emanates from within. The suspended posture, with the gaze tilted upward and the hands extended in a gesture of reception, evokes the sacred passage where the earthly (the leaves, the ochre tones of the earth) sublimates into the divine. The work has no frame. The work is one of self-realization. Technical: oil on canvas. Dimensions: 90 x 60 x 1 cm.
