Exclusive vintage flat-weave art rug (Kilim), made by the renowned Italian manufactory "Kalós Edizioni Tessili". The piece stands out for a refined asymmetric design of clearly modernist and abstract-organic origin. On a cream background, blue-toned compositions float, enclosing coral and dark blue graphic and geometric modules, resembling stylized letters of the alphabet or biomorphic elements. The pattern is not geometrically mirror-symmetric: the rug has a single direction of compositional reading, a detail typical of tapestry cartoons conceived by visual artists and avant-garde designers of the period. The central composition is framed laterally and at the ends by a thick geometric wavy border in a warm ocher yellow tone, completed by natural fringes on the short sides.
