Jules Jurgensen, Copenhagen - fine and rare 18k foudroyante chronograph hunter pocket watch, no. 11162, circa 1868, signed nickel plated double barrel movement with gold train, lever escapement and compensated balance, polished steel regulator, signed white enamel dial with Roman numeral, outer minute markers, centre seconds with a subsidiary foudroyante 1/5th seconds dial activated by the rectangular-shaped push-piece located on the case-band at 12 o’clock, blued steel Breguet type moon hands, the numbered hunter case with signed cuvette and engine turned decoration, milled band, 152.2gm, 54mm ** with the original silk lined mahogany fitted box with an inset brass plaque and corresponding reference number underneath. Containing an original spare mainspring and glass. ** Original Jules Jurgensen certificate dated 25th June 1868, three letters of correspondence between the a descendant of the original owner from 1955 and the President of the Hamilton Watch Company, Arthur Sinkler. A further letter from the Chairman of The Horological Institute of America
