The back is exceptionally clean (virtually free of old cement or mortar residues) and shows the characteristic waffle pattern in the clay. Description of the object: A beautifully preserved antique wall tile from the heyday of Jugendstil. The design features a crisp, geometric grid of lines in deep blue and soft green against a warm ivory background. Thanks to the relief lines, the pattern sits visually nicely on top of the surface. The back bears the original factory number in the bottom right and is, thanks to its clean condition, ready to be re-framed or displayed.
