Biography: JonOne (Franco-American, born 1963 in New York), famous for his graffiti-influenced works, was born in the Harlem neighborhood, where the art of colorful and elaborated graffiti evolved. He began creating graffiti of his name with a childhood friend from the age of 17. In 1984, he founded the Graffiti 156 All Starz collective to gather graffiti writers’ passion. After moving to Paris in 1987, he began working as a painter on canvas in a studio. He quickly made a name for himself in Parisian artistic circles with his canvas works, was exhibited in 1990 at Gallery 45 in Berlin and participated in the Graffiti Paris exhibition, where his work was presented on a permanent basis. His works appear among the most important auction results in the graffiti world.
