Johannes Zorn

10 hand-colored copper engravings originate from the first and only Dutch edition of the prestigious botanical work Images of medicinal plants, published in Amsterdam between 1796 and 1800 by J.C. Sepp and Son. The engravings are printed from the original copper plates, imported from Germany, from Johannes Zorns Icones plantarum medicinalium (1779–1784). They are distinguished in particular as the rarer Dutch edition by the refined, hand-colored coloring of the Sepp publishing family. Good.
