Joan-Pere Viladecans (1948) - Circuit i flor

Joan-Pere Viladecans (1948) – Titled "Circuit i flor" – Original lithograph signed and hand-numbered. Type: Lithograph / Original art print Title of the work: Circuit i flor (Circuit and flower) Artist: Joan-Pere Viladecans (Barcelona, 1948) Technique: Color lithography on heavyweight art paper Signature: Hand-signed in pencil by the artist at the bottom right Numbering: Limited edition, specimen 339/375 at the bottom left Condition: Excellent (Never framed.) Size: 70x50 cm INFORMATION ABOUT THE WORK AND THE ARTIST The Work: In Circuit i flor, the Catalan artist synthesizes his famous visual and expressive research based on the dialogue between organic and inorganic, nature and rationality. Against a warm, earthy-toned background appear vegetative/embryonic forms and the silhouette of a butterfly, surmounted by decisive and dynamic black graphic strokes that evoke the line of a circuit or a conceptual diagram. Support and Quality: Made on heavyweight art paper with a natural texture (a characteristic of Catalan graphic production of the era, as in runs printed by renowned art presses such as Edicions Polígrafa in Barcelona). The color rendering is saturated, clean, and well preserved. The Artist (Joan-Pere Viladecans): Born in Barcelona in 1948, Viladecans is one of the most relevant and distinctive figures of late 20th-century Spanish and Catalan contemporary art. Influenced early on by masters such as Antoni Tàpies and Joan Brossa, he developed a unique language that fuses painting, graphics, poetic symbolism, and material elements. He has exhibited in major museums and galleries around the world (Seville Expo ’92, Cologne, Berlin, Madrid, Barcelona) and his graphic works are present in prestigious public and private collections. Very sought-after by collectors and art houses worldwide. The French government awarded him the distinction of “Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” (France, 1996).
