It also bears the CAM (Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo) association/publisher marking, as documented for this model. ABOUT COBI Cobi was designed by Javier Mariscal for the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games and became one of the most recognisable Olympic mascots of the modern era. Mariscal’s distinctive cubist-inspired interpretation deliberately departed from the more conventional cartoon mascots used at previous Olympic Games. This signed metal example is considerably more substantial than the many small commercial Cobi souvenirs produced around the Barcelona Olympics.
