Jamaica Great Britain used in Jamaica Imperial Issues used at Post Offices after the arrival of the Obliterators "A75" (Savannah La Mar) 1859 (25 Mar.) double rate entire letter "envelope" "per packet paid" to London, bearing 6d. lilac wing-margin pair both neatly cancelled "A75" and tied by London Paid datestamp (16.6), "savannah-la-mar/jamaica" P2b despatch, Kingston and London (16.7) datestamps on reverse; trivial edge imperfections, otherwise fine. Believed to be the only recorded double Packet Letter rate cover with G.B. 6d. values and this numeral cancellation provenance: Dick Hemmings, Cavendish, March 2014, Lot 138 Subject to 20% VAT on Buyer’s Premium.
