Jaguar - XKR Convertible - 2001

This 2001 Jaguar XKR Convertible immediately stands out for its exceptionally complete and verifiable history. According to the available Clean Carfax report, this is a One Owner car that has remained with the same owner since new, with a damage-free past and consistent maintenance throughout its life. The maintenance history runs from the first kilometer registration in November 2000 to February 2026 and shows a particularly steady mileage progression. The most recent service was performed in 2026 at 108,400 miles, only 35 miles ago. Coupled with the original window sticker, the attractive factory specification, distinctive color, and the documented low mileage, this represents a particularly well-documented example of the X100 generation XKR. The major difference between a regular XK8 and the XKR lies under the hood. This car is equipped with Jaguar’s 4.0-liter AJ-V8 with mechanical supercharger and intercooler, rated at 370 HP. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an electronically controlled five-speed automatic transmission. The transmission features both Normal and Sport programs. The combination of a large V8, supercharger, and rear-wheel drive gave the XKR the performance befitting its position as Jaguar’s sporty top model. This example is finished in the striking CGL Phoenix Red and features a matching-numbers 3,996 cc Supercharged V8. The car was originally sold with an American retail price of $90,550. With a similar specification, the Dutch/new price was around €150,775. Also the factory specification makes this XKR attractive. In addition to the already very complete standard equipment, $3,600 worth of factory options were ordered. The special red body color represented $650, while the navigation system was an expensive option of $2,000 at the time. Additionally, a wood/leather steering wheel was chosen for $450 and heated front seats for $500. The interior is typical for a luxury Jaguar Grand Tourer from this period, with a blend of leather, wood, and extensive electric comfort features. The car includes power windows, cruise control, automatic climate control, a trip computer, Reverse Park Control, and a memory function for the driver's seat, steering column, and exterior mirrors. For entertainment, the XKR was equipped with the Premium Alpine audio system. This consists of AM/FM radio, cassette deck, 6-CD changer, digital signal processing, and a 320-watt amplifier. This example also features the optional factory navigation system. The electrically operated convertible roof is lined, with a glass rear window. With the top up, the XKR behaves as a comfortable Grand Tourer, while with the top down it takes on an entirely different character. The combination of open-air driving with the sound and power of the Supercharged V8 is among the features that make the XKR Convertible so attractive today. On the exterior, the XKR is distinguished, among other things, by its functional hood vents, wire-mesh grille, rear spoiler, and integrated fog lamps. It also features auto-on headlights with headlamp washers, a rain sensor, and electrically adjustable and heated side mirrors in body color. Equally important as the trim for this Jaguar is its very extensive maintenance history. The CARFAX history begins on November 27, 2000, when the odometer was recorded at just 29 miles. The history then stretches for more than 25 years, with recurring maintenance services, emissions inspections, and mileage registrations. 02/12/2026 – Irvine, California - Vehicle serviced - Condition and tire pressure checked 02/10/2026 – Carlsbad, California – 108,400 miles - Vehicle serviced - Delivery inspection performed - Emissions inspection performed - Engine oil and oil filter replaced - Vehicle washed/detailing 02/09/2026 – California – 108,397 miles - Emissions inspection successfully passed 10/07/2025 – California – 108,194 miles - Emissions inspection successfully passed 01/23/2025 – Encinitas, California – 107,188 miles - Vehicle serviced - Engine oil and oil filter replaced 10/06/2023 – California – 105,203 miles - Emissions inspection successfully passed 11/23/2021 – California – 101,910 miles - Emissions inspection successfully passed 08/14/2020 – San Diego, California – 98,787 miles - Vehicle serviced - Engine oil and oil filter replaced 10/23/2019 – California – 96,558 miles - Emissions inspection successfully passed 07/19/2019 – El Cajon, California – 95,937 miles - Vehicle serviced - Maintenance inspection performed - Carpets protected - Engine oil and oil filter replaced - Condition and tire pressure checked 07/03/2018 – El Cajon, California – 93,626 miles - Vehicle serviced - Maintenance inspection performed - Recommended maintenance performed - Carpets protected - Fluids checked - Engine oil and oil filter replaced - Condition and tire pressure checked 10/13/2017 – California – 92,744 miles - Emissions inspection successfully passed 05/31/2017 – El Cajon, California – 92,089 miles - Vehicle serviced - Maintenance inspection performed - Engine oil and oil filter replaced - Condition and tire pressure checked - Vehicle washed/detailing 02/24/2017 – Encinitas, California – 91,673 miles - Vehicle serviced 04/14/2016 – El Cajon, California – 91,212 miles - Vehicle serviced - Maintenance inspection performed - Floor mat(s) checked - Engine oil and oil filter replaced - Condition and tire pressure checked 10/08/2015 – California – 90,511 miles - Emissions inspection successfully passed 05/27/2015 – El Cajon, California – 89,560 miles - Vehicle serviced - Maintenance inspection performed - Floor mat(s) checked - Engine oil and oil filter replaced - Condition and tire pressure checked 04/03/2015 – Encinitas, California – 89,296 miles - Vehicle serviced - Maintenance inspection performed - Engine checked - Fluids checked - Condition and tire pressure checked - Transmission fluid replaced 05/29/2014 – El Cajon, California – 88,065 miles - Vehicle serviced - Maintenance inspection performed - Floor mat(s) checked - Engine oil and oil filter replaced - Condition and tire pressure checked - Vehicle washed/detailing 09/24/2013 – La Mesa, California – 84,397 miles - Emissions inspection successfully passed 05/31/2013 – San Diego, California – 82,648 miles - Vehicle serviced - Maintenance inspection performed - Engine oil and oil filter replaced - Steering/suspension checked - Condition and tire pressure checked 05/11/2012 – El Cajon, California – 78,240 miles - Vehicle serviced - Maintenance inspection performed - Engine oil and oil filter replaced - Condition and tire pressure checked - Vehicle washed/detailing 06/21/2010 – El Cajon, California – 71,084 miles - Vehicle serviced - Fluid levels checked - Fluids checked - Engine oil and oil filter replaced 10/02/2009 – La Mesa, California – 66,892 miles - Emissions inspection successfully passed 02/05/2008 – California – 53,929 miles - Emissions inspection successfully passed 02/05/2008 – Vehicle Repair Center - Vehicle serviced - EEC purge valve repaired 01/26/2005 – La Mesa, California – 25,504 miles - Emissions inspection successfully passed 11/27/2000 – Vero Beach, Florida – 29 miles - Mileage registered The combination of this long maintenance history, the gradual and logical mileage progression, the damage-free history, and the fact that the car, according to CARFAX, has had only one owner from new, makes this XKR particularly attractive. Many cars from this generation now have multiple owners and only partly known histories; with this example, an unusually large portion of its life has been documented. Safety equipment includes three-point seat belts with belt pretensioners, front and side airbags for driver and passenger, and Jaguar’s Ultrasonic Occupant Sensing System. Mechanically, the car, in addition to its 4.0-liter Supercharged V8, features speed-sensitive power steering with variable ratio, rear-wheel drive, and an electronically controlled five-speed automatic with overdrive and separate Normal and Sport programs. This Jaguar comes with the original window sticker, USA title, and European/Dutch import documents. All import duties and VAT have already been paid. The seller can also assist with transport within Europe and worldwide shipping. This XKR combines several traits that are increasingly important for a modern classic: an attractive and richly equipped factory specification, the 370 HP Supercharged V8, the open Convertible body style, and above all an exceptionally complete history from new. The fact that the car is a CARFAX-documented damage-free ONE OWNER from new, combined with more than 25 years of maintenance history and a service performed just 35 miles ago, make this a particularly well-documented example of the Jaguar X100 XKR.
