IN RISALTO: • Iconic British grand tourer powered by a V8 engine • Equipped with a fully functional fabric convertible top • Model supplied with a document holder and original instruction booklet STORIA/PANORAMICA: The Jaguar XK8 (X100 series), introduced in 1996 as the successor to the XJS, marked a new era for Coventry’s grand tourers. Characterized by its smooth, sinuous lines designed by Geoff Lawson, it was the first Jaguar car to adopt an eight-cylinder V8 engine. This exemplar is in running condition; having been static for a period of non-use, it requires general maintenance and cosmetic and functional restoration work. CARROZZERIA/VERNICIATURA: The bodywork shows several signs of age, scratches and areas that have undergone partial repainting. The front bumper is cracked, the rear trunk lid is currently jammed (missing the trunk release button and fuel), and the paint and windshield gasket are peeling. There are also cracks on the rear lights, deteriorated door seals and damaged door weatherstrips. The fabric soft top is functioning, though the fabric is somewhat worn and needs cleaning. INTERNI: The cabin exhibits widespread wear. The leather upholstery shows scratches, marks and, in some areas, padding detaching. There are damages to the cup holder, a worn steering wheel, damaged running boards, and some instrument panel buttons not functioning. The document holder and original instruction booklet are present. MECCANICA: The car is running and the gear is functioning. Since the trunk cannot be opened to access the main battery, starting requires use of the jump points located in the front hood (via booster). The V8 engine is equipped with a non-original performance air filter. Occasional ignition of the ARS light on the dashboard is noted. The tires are in normal condition with DOT code 2005. The car needs a service and general mechanical maintenance before road use. DOCUMENTI: Vehicle provided with the circulation documents attached in the images.
