Scarce first edition of The Sinking of the Titanic by John B. "Jack" Thayer, privately published in 1940 and limited to 500 numbered copies, of which this is number 306. The 30-page book is signed by Thayer on the copyright page and boldly inscribed on the inside front cover, "To Benjamin Rush Esq. With Best wishes from Jack Thayer."
