全部拍賣 / Arts & Graphics / J. A. Montoya (XX) - El pesaje con la romana
Exquisite oil painting on canvas from the Spanish regionalist-costumbrista school of the 20th century, signed in the lower right corner by the renowned painter J. A. Montoya, an artist specialized in portraying with great realism the traditions, rural work and folkloric attire of the north of Spain. The work stands out for its strong ethnographic character and its realistic narrative, accurately capturing the moment when two rural workers weigh sacks of grain using a manually operated Roman balance suspended in the open air. The characterization of the figures is magnificent, wearing the traditional working garments of the period, including the iconic black beret or txapela. Estado y Detalles Materiales: Condition and Materials Details: The canvas is in impeccable condition, superbly stretched on its original wooden stretcher and clean (as can be seen in the photographs on the back). The work is mounted in a sumptuous and heavy gala frame with openwork reliefs of great decorative distinction that greatly enhances the piece's presence in any room. An ideal opportunity for collectors of Spanish costumbrista art and high-end interior design. Medidas: 52x41 con marco , 36x25 sin marco
