- This Geographical Map is an original copper engraving from 1599 (16th Century...). - This is the rare TOLEMAIC edition by MAGINI, ROSACCIO & SESSA, published in 1599 in their extremely rare and fantastic work titled: "The Geography of Claudius Ptolemy the Alexandrian, Translated from Greek into the Italian vernacular by Girolamo Ruscelli, and now again enlarged by Gioseffo Rosaccio..... " - Beautiful map published in VENICE, with wide margins, excellent aquarelle coloring and very well detailed at every point. - Condition: the condition is very good as shown in the photo, especially considering its age; however there is a very small worm hole in the lower-right area of the map, well outside the drawn field and the description itself. - The overall dimensions of the map are: 34 cm x 25 cm
