Oil painting on copper plate – Female figure with harp Elegant oil painting on a copper plate, depicting a young female figure seated in a rocky and shaded landscape, occupied with playing a small string instrument resembling a harp or lyre. The protagonist is portrayed with the bust exposed and wrapped in a broad light drapery, while a long skirt in ochre and golden tones, richly animated by the brushstrokes, dominates the central part of the composition. The pose of the figure, the idealized atmosphere, and the presence of the musical instrument suggest a subject of allegorical and mythological character, probably related to Music, Poetry, or the Muses.
