Ideal Art Deco Bracelet with Oriental Pearl and Diamonds in Platinum, c. 1930

In four stages, the design widens from the sides toward the center: at first, only small diamonds are set; then the diamonds grow larger, and saw-toothed shadow gaps are introduced. Two large old-cut diamonds, set in wonderfully delicate platinum bezels, occupy the penultimate sections, until finally a perfect Oriental pearl is set in the center. Platinum covers the surface of the centerpiece, while the band itself is crafted from white gold. The diamonds sparkle white, while the pearl shimmers white-gray. It is a harmony of white tones, a melodious blend of subtle differences in luster, brightness, and hue. Finely tuned with exquisite taste.
