Hung Richard is a graduate of the Hanoi University of Fine Arts and is a member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association. An Ode to Vietnam Born in 1966 in Cần Thơ, in the heart of the Mekong Delta, Hung Richard is an artist whose work celebrates the visual richness and serenity of Vietnam. Deeply influenced by the lush landscapes of his home region, he has developed a painting technique that captures with great sensitivity both daily life and the majesty of nature. His style is characterized by a vibrant use of color and the ability to imbue each subject with a poetic atmosphere. Whether depicting the gentle bustle of a historic street or the monumental quiet of the Vietnamese mountains, Hung Richard transforms familiar scenes into deeply evocative compositions. His paintings reflect attentive observation: - He tenderly captures traditional architecture, the soul of houses nestled in generous nature. - He vividly portrays rural life, the movement of animals, and everyday scenes. - He masters the play of light, whether it be the golden reflections of late afternoon or the mystical glow of sunsets on marine landscapes. Prolific artist, Hung Richard continues to explore the timeless beauty of his country, inviting the viewer to a peaceful contemplation through oil paintings on canvas rich in authenticity and emotion.
