Hélène de Mecklembourg-Schwerin

Autograph letter signed by Hélène of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Duchess of Orléans, wife of Ferdinand-Philippe d’Orléans, eldest son of King Louis-Philippe. The letter is dated June 3, 184[1] at Neuilly. Written in brown ink on a cream two-page sheet with at the top an embossed monogram showing an H under a crown. Signed “Hélène.” In this letter, the Duchess of Orléans recommends to her correspondence a young lady from her circle, who has gone to Bordeaux to be with her family after her mother’s death.
