A Catalan painter specializing in landscapes and floral painting, he developed an artistic career marked by his sensitivity to color, light, and nature. From a very young age he showed a strong inclination for drawing and painting, beginning his career in the Barcelona art scene of the mid-20th century. His training was influenced by the Catalan pictorial tradition and by the great masters of Impressionism and European Post-Impressionism, from whom he absorbed the interest in natural light, spontaneous brushwork, and the richness of color. Throughout his career, Pascual especially cultivated floral painting, turning the simplest motifs of nature into compositions of great delicacy and harmony. His works are characterized by a loose, impasted, and expressive brushstroke, with particular attention to textures and light effects. In his floral compositions, soft tones prevail, olive greens, ochres, and creamy whites, combined with warm-colored backgrounds and enveloping atmospheres. His painting avoids overly academic detail to focus on visual impression and on capturing the essence of the depicted motif. His style is situated within the Catalan figurative tradition of the second half of the 20th century, with clear Impressionist and Post-Impressionist influences. The freshness of his execution, the naturalness of his compositions, and the handling of painting material constitute the most representative features of his artistic language. Guillermo Pascual's work reflects an intimate and poetic vision of nature, in which the flowers acquire special prominence as expressions of beauty, serenity, and artistic sensitivity.
