Grenfell Book Cover

Canadian. A rare Grenfell Mission hooked book cover with a male and female hunter on the flaps and a lone pine tree at the centre, forming the spine of the book. The hooked book covers were introduced by 1930 as a way for "The Industrial" to expand its markets but were not considered a huge success. Hooked in silk stocking and brin with the original label "Grenfell Labrador Industries" in script. C. 1930. Marked, retains "Grenfell Labrador Industries" tag.
