Lucy Candleholder – Marcel Wanders for Goods The Lucy candleholder was designed by Marcel Wanders for the Dutch design label Goods. It is an elegant candleholder with five equal arms. Thanks to its calm and understated beauty, it feels both classic and contemporary. The first editions of the candleholder were produced in nickel or chrome. It is now available in a striking matte black finish. The Lucy candleholder has since become a design classic and is a beautiful example of industrial design. The candleholder is supplied with five white candles, each with a diameter of 21 mm. It measures 26 cm in height and has a diameter of 33 cm. Marcel Wanders Marcel Wanders is one of the best-known contemporary Dutch designers. He graduated cum laude from the Arnhem Academy of Art and Design, after previously being dismissed from the Design Academy Eindhoven. He subsequently studied at academies in Hasselt, Maastricht, and Eindhoven. His designs are characterized by their poetic and conceptual nature. Through his own design studio, Marcel Wanders Studio, he develops and realizes ideas and products for a wide range of clients. The Knotted Chair marked Wanders’ international breakthrough, combining high-tech materials with low-tech production methods. His designs are adventurous, challenging, and often provocative.
