GIBEON IRON METEORITE (Namibia

The Gibeon meteorite is one of the most valued and sought after by collectors worldwide. It is a metallic meteorite that fell in present-day Namibia in prehistoric times, and was used to make weapons and tools by the inhabitants of that era, although it was first discovered by Westerners in 1836. It is a fine octahedrite, of great exterior and interior beauty, which is typically used for the crafting of high-end jewelry. The specimen in this lot is a rectangular slice, with a good weight-to-area ratio, and in it we can see the Widmanstätten lines as well as some inclusions in dark tones, in this classic meteorite that should not be missing from any collection. A fantastic specimen to add to your collection. Do not miss this opportunity! All of our meteorites come with an IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association) certificate, guaranteeing the authenticity of all our meteorites for life. Buy with confidence. Best regards and our best wishes. CRATER METEORITES
