Gaby Acevedo - Meridies - Lucis fragmenta (XL)

“Meridies” belongs to my series “Lucis Fragmenta,” where light is revealed as it refracts through color fragments. The work captures the moment when light reaches its peak, noon, and decomposes it into planes that open and diverge across a calm sky. Each fragment acts as a threshold between brightness and shadow, allowing light to become matter within the composition. It is an abstract piece whose interpretation remains open to every viewer. Details of the work: • "Meridies - Lucis fragmenta" is a contemporary, unique, and original abstract work, entirely handmade with professional acrylic on cotton canvas. • Dimensions: 100 cm × 100 cm. • Created directly in my studio. • Canvas size: The canvas measures approximately 110 cm × 110 cm, including the margin needed for its new mounting on a 100 cm × 100 cm × 2 cm stretcher (approximately). • Finish and protection: The work is protected with a professional satin varnish, preserving color intensity and ensuring its longevity over time. • Unique and original work: Painted entirely by hand, signed and dated on the back by the visual artist Gaby Acevedo, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Presentation: • The work has been created on a canvas previously stretched on a frame. To guarantee safe transport, it is carefully shipped rolled in a high-strength rigid tube. The edges are painted as a continuation of the composition and the canvas retains the necessary margin for its new mounting on the frame. • The work does not include a frame or decorative border. • For an optimal finish, it is recommended that mounting be carried out by a professional. Shipping: • The work is carefully shipped rolled and protected in a high-strength rigid tube. • Insured shipping with tracking number. • Includes certificate of authenticity. • Shipments to the Canary Islands (Spain): €48. Additional information: Colors and shades may vary slightly depending on each screen’s settings. Ambient images are digital representations for illustrative purposes and show a possible presentation of the work once mounted or framed. About the artist: My name is Gaby Acevedo. I am a visual artist. I live and produce my works in Spain. For more than 25 years I have developed an artistic practice focused on contemporary abstract painting, where color, matter, and collage are the pillars of my visual language. My work arises from observation and dialogue with the landscapes, the spaces we inhabit, and the traces they leave on our memory. Each series responds to a distinct research, but all share the purpose of transforming experience into a visual language open to emotion and free interpretation. Each work is unique and is entirely handmade in my studio with high-quality professional materials. All my paintings are signed, dated, and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
